Portfolio: The Boblins

The Boblins is a new animated children’s television series, geared towards pre-schoolers to age 5, that will be broadcasting in late 2006. GloDerWorks created the extensive mixed HTML and Flash site to highlight the series, its characters, and the educational benefits of the show. The childrens section is a non-lineal format allowing child and parent to discover what each character offers, related discover games, music, video clips, and more. The teachers section includes extensive educational materials, activity sheets, and a video clip from each of the 26 episodes, including a summary and a PDF of the education benefit for the episode. The parents section includes downloads for use with children, including The Boblins theme song, ringtones, wallpaper, and an activity pack. Parents can learn about each character, play a game related to that character, and send e-cards. Currently the show has been sold to 22 countries worldwide, and multiple language versions of the site is in the works.
